Sola Strand Hotel is situated in inspiring surroundings, close to Stavanger, Sandnes and Stavanger Airport Sola. Solastranden beach, right outside the hotel, is a 2,300 metre long sandy beach which has been crowned the world's sixth best beach by The Sunday Times.
Facilities
At the heart of the hotel is the original fireplace from 1914 which stands centrally in the reception area. The warmth, familiar aroma and cosy crackling of the fire bid guests a warm welcome.
Sola Strand Hotel consists of an elegant reception area, 139 bright and pleasant rooms with a total of 236 beds, the Strandbaren bar and adjoining outdoor seating area, a top-class restaurant, a wine cellar, excellent events facilities and two modern conference centres that can accommodate up to 300 people as well as Nordsjøbadet Spa. There is also a tennis court and a small golf course in the hotel grounds. Soft sand dunes, the long sandy beach and open sea are right outside the hotel.
In 2012 we inaugurated a new building, Erling Skjalgssonsenteret, which consist of a new conference with a plenary capacity of 300 delegates centre and 56 new bedrooms.
Sola Strand Hotel is a member of the Norwegian hospitality association De Historiske Hotel & Spisesteder (Historic Hotels & Restaurants).
